I have done quite a few extended family sessions over the years. These are large family sessions that often include grandparents, their children and the grandchildren/great-grandchildren. 

If you are lucky enough to be able to do that, I think you are pretty lucky. These are often special sessions for the family especially the grandparents. They have all their children with them and their grandchildren, how amazing. Add taking advantage of the opportunity and getting family photos taken, priceless.

Meet the Benson Family.

I traveled to Challis for this family session. One thing about the day, it was cold. I know some of you love the colder months, I'll give you it's beautiful BUT the cold. It was COLD during the session, of course a gorgeous clear day which means cold. 

Everyone lived through the session but jackets and coats were passed off and heater breaks in the cars were taken. Which is a given at winter sessions. 

Despite the cold weather it was a great session. I got so many great photos I can't wait to share with the family.
