Meet the Cockrell family.

This was my first time photographing this beautiful family and I can't wait to do another already with these guys!

Orie and Kortne have four great children who were all great during the session. Which was a lot to ask simply because I completely wrote their session on the wrong date. Yeah.

Kortne booked this session awhile ago. Like months ago. I wrote it down in my nifty paper planner. And I wrote it for a Sunday rather than a Saturday. Ugh. So I moved so fast to leave from my home to their location. I was mid-cleaning so I am sure I looked like a hot mess. But they were so wonderful.

It is asking a lot for kids to sit and smile and "behave" and I was already late so I knew the kids and even mom and dad were going to be at their limit. I was physically yelling at myself in the car on the way there. I couldn't believe I did that. But I did. Kortne is just as sweet as she is beautiful. She is so down to earth and was so gracious to my huge mistake.

This location is one of my favorites and not because I have photographed here a lot because this is actually my first time but the location - the view - it is PRIME. It is their property to it was truly a win, win. I love the grassy field, random trees and stumps and the views of the mountains - WOW. It was overcast photo day so we couldn't see the mountains with their full potential but you get the idea.

The session was actually great. The weather held out for the most part, the children were great and Orie and Kortne did so well in front of the camera together - the gallery is beautiful. I cannot wait to share the whole the online gallery to the Cockrell family.

One of my favorite parts is to go through the photos, culling. Well not always but with family sessions like this one, it was fun. During the family session we are usually caught up in the poses and moving and keeping the children distracted but just look at Orie. He looks so happy and like he knows he has the catch.

I wish I had more time for just these two, I could make them do so many fun things and I think they would enjoy it. They were up for anything, which made it nice and I got so many wonderful photos of them.
