Yes, you read that right.

They are having a BABY.

Matt and Tera are expecting their third baby and it's a BOY. Isn't that so exciting? I am so pumped for them and Matt. He will no longer be the only guy in the house. 

They booked a family session for some updated pictures since they haven't had any since Abigail was a newborn. It was time for updated pictures especially before they add more newborn photos to the wall. 

Family sessions can be overwhelming add two little kids - stressful. I say this ALL THE TIME, kids run the show. I let the kids be kids. This helps the situation of a stranger pushing a camera in their face and telling them what to do. 

This also helps you. How? 

Because less stress on the parents help tremendously during the session. Often you are rushed and pushed into poses and trying to "make" your child smile and be happy and hope they don't get uncomfortable and cry. I like to give them space so the parents feel a lot less stress. 

Isabelle and Abigail just weren't having it at first. And that is totally acceptable and NORMAL. So many parents worry about what is going to happen at the session, but kids are going to be kids. So we let them walk it off, literally. 

We walked around, they explored and we wrangled them when we could. And as it goes, as soon as we wanted to move on to photos of just Matt and Tera they wanted to be in the picture. I know some parents walk away from the family session, relieved it's over also wonder if any of the photo will actually "turn" out. 

The answer is yes. 

The photos will be you, your family and we always get the shots. I am so excited for this little family and to meet this little guy.
