Do you remember those photos I took of Chelsea and her husband Jeremy announcing she was pregnant . . . . but it wasn't his? 

Well, here is your update. 

Chelsea has been on this surrogacy journey for a long time and her first experience is coming to an end this week. YES, this week! The parents traveled from France to finally meet her and welcome their baby into this world. 

Surrogacy is something that Chelsea has always wanted to do and she first started this journey in December 2019. She underwent the IVF process in September 2020 after matching with the Intended Parents and now May 2021 she will be literally giving the gift of life to another couple. 

How amazing is this? Not only the science and technology of being able to carry a baby for a whole different family but to give your body, your mind and emotions to this journey - not to mention her own family at home. Chelsea is a mom to three children of her own.

I was so happy she decided to take maternity photos. I don't actually do that many maternity sessions but I do have a maternity dress client closet. This dress is from my client closet and is really beautiful, heavy and super flowy. I was so happy it worked out. She ditched her husband for this set of maternity pictures - since it isn't his child. We didn't want to end up on one of those awkward photo websites. 

I never got to take maternity photos, and really love photographing moms and their bellies.
