You want those dreamy fall photos.

The colors are a beautiful blend of oranges and yellow and sometimes a hint of red. You see these photos all the time on your social media news feed or scrolling through Pinterest.

But where are those cool spots in town for these amazing autumn pictures? 

We sometimes think it must be in some sort of secret location, down a creepy road or a short hike. But in reality some of my favorite locations are right in town and easy to get to - like drive there and jump out! 

I find myself telling clients, "Don't worry, I know it doesn't look the prettiest but it photographs beautifully." Which is true. I have had some clients just not want to trust me and I understand you are investing good money into these and want the best. Plus you deserve the best. 

Here is my short list of locations perfect for fall photos if you don't already have a specific spot you want! 

• Sacajawea Center 

  Lots of space and open fields. I love this place for larger families and ones who want more mountains in the background. This location is open year-round so early fall to late fall this is a good location. 

• Island Park 

  A favorite of mine. I like trees and foliage in my photos! This is certainly a top for me especially for smaller families. I have pretty much perfected my photos at this location pretty much any time of day! In addition to all the trees the river is close for some river shots if we walk across the rocks. 

• Morgan Bar 

  This is great for later fall! A short walk to an open field, some trees and some possible river shots if you want to walk down! I did some amazing summer sessions here and can't wait to do some fall ones here in some new spots I discovered!
