Lucky in Love: The Dunns’ Vegas Elopement

Viva Las Vegas! The Dunns’ Epic Elopement Adventure

Jonathan and Tristyn finally made it official, eloping to the neon-lit excitement of Viva Las Vegas—and let me tell you, their wedding night was one for the books! As an Idaho photographer and an experienced elopement photographer, I’ve captured love stories in the mountains, by the rivers, and deep in the woods. But there’s something about a Las Vegas elopement that brings a whole new level of fun, spontaneity, and unforgettable memories.

Tying the Knot in True Vegas Style

Their adventure began at the iconic Little Wedding Chapel, one of the most famous spots for couples who want a fast, fun, and no-fuss wedding with a side of Vegas flair. The Little Wedding Chapel is known for its Tunnel of Love, drive-thru ceremonies, and, of course, the option to have Elvis officiate. Jonathan and Tristyn opted for a simple yet meaningful ceremony in a chapel room, surrounded by their closest family and friends. And true to Las Vegas elopement style, the ceremony was lightning-fast—we were in and out in about 30 minutes, just enough time for vows, rings, and a first kiss as husband and wife.

Vegas Ink: Sealing Their Love with Tattoos

Because what’s more Vegas than walking straight from your wedding to get matching tattoos? We made our way to Koolsville Tattoo, the legendary home of the $10 Vegas tattoo. If you've never been, it’s an experience—rows of flash tattoos are categorized by price, making it easy to grab a little piece of inked history. Jonathan and Tristyn chose a King and Queen theme, a perfect symbol of their love and a fun, permanent memory of their wedding night.

A Taco Bell Love Story

Next up: Taco Bell on the Las Vegas Strip. Yes, you read that right. This isn’t just any Taco Bell—it’s Taco Bell Cantina, a two-story, high-energy version of the fast-food favorite. This place serves all the classics, but with a Vegas twist: boozy Baja Blasts, a live DJ, and even a wedding package option. For Jonathan and Tristyn, it wasn’t just a late-night snack—it was fate. Their wedding song? "February 28, 2016" by Koe Wetzel, which just so happens to mention going to Taco Bell. And since they got married on February 28, heading straight there after their ceremony was a must.

The Wild Energy of Fremont Street

No Las Vegas elopement is complete without a stroll through Fremont Street, and that’s exactly where we wrapped up the night. The streets were packed with performers, flashing lights, and crowds soaking up the Vegas energy. We snapped photos under the glowing marquees, in front of the legendary casinos, and even had a few unexpected guest appearances from lively street performers and passing strangers. One thing about a Vegas elopement—you never know who (or what) you’ll run into, and that’s half the fun!

Why a Las Vegas Elopement is Always a Good Idea

If you're considering eloping, Vegas is the perfect mix of excitement, romance, and spontaneity. Whether you’re drawn to the all-night energy, the endless photo ops, or the ability to tie the knot and grab a taco all in one night, there’s something special about saying “I do” in Sin City. And as an elopement photographer, I can say with certainty—there’s no place quite like it.

Jonathan and Tristyn’s wedding was a whirlwind of fun, love, and Vegas magic. Their night was unique, true to them, and absolutely unforgettable. And that’s exactly how an elopement should be.
