There’s something so heartwarming about hearing from a bride within days of her engagement and that’s exactly how it happened with Sage. Those first few days are filled with excitement, joy, and all the happy chaos that comes with saying “yes!” So, when Sage reached out right away, my heart melted a little. It’s such an honor every single time I get to be part of someone’s story, not just their wedding day, but the moments leading up to it. As a Salmon Idaho Photographer, getting to capture these milestones for people I’ve known for years makes it even more special.
Bradley and Sage are officially engaged and counting down the days until their 2026 wedding! Sage is already ahead of the game, she’s got a good handle on her vendors, her bridal party figured out, and a vision that’s coming together beautifully. We love a bride who knows what she wants!
Even though these two now live in Missoula, Montana, they made the trip back to Salmon for their engagement photos, where most of their friends and family are. And honestly, I’m so glad they did. The fall colors were showing off, the air was crisp, and the session was filled with nonstop laughter.
I haven’t photographed Sage since she was in high school (or maybe just after, it’s been that long!), so it was such a treat to have her back in front of my camera. And while this was my first time meeting Bradley, I can confidently say, he’s a trooper. He laughed, participated, and fully embraced the fun of the session. I know engagement photos can feel a little awkward at first, but he handled it like a champ.
That’s really one of my biggest goals with every couple I photograph, I want you to have fun. I want it to feel like a date, not a photoshoot. There’s no pressure to be perfect or overly posed. Instead, I focus on creating a space where you can laugh, relax, and just be yourselves. Because at the end of the day, those genuine smiles and real moments are what make your photos feel alive.
We ran around the fall leaves, took advantage of the gorgeous colors, and yes, there were some slow-motion runs and a few piggyback rides thrown in for good measure. We had so much fun that I didn’t even want it to end. I left the session smiling ear to ear, reminded of why I love what I do.
Bradley and Sage, thank you for trusting me to capture this chapter of your love story. I can’t wait to celebrate your big day in 2026 and capture all the joy, laughter, and moments that come with it.
If you’re recently engaged and looking for an Idaho Engagement Photographer, I’d love to help you plan a session that feels completely you, fun, relaxed, and full of connection.
