Making Family Photos Fun with the Trusnovec Family, Challis Idaho Photographer
I had the absolute joy of photographing the Trusnovec family twice this year, and each session was a blast! Cole and Abby’s two energetic boys, Chris and Matt, are naturals in front of the camera. The best part? Everyone has fun—sometimes I think the kids enjoy it just as much as I do! Even Cole, who’s probably ready for a break from family photos, was such a great sport and made the day extra special.
We returned to the same scenic location, and it did not disappoint. As a Salmon Idaho Photographer, I love finding spots that offer wide-open spaces for kids to run and explore. That’s what family photos are all about—capturing authentic moments, laughter, and energy while creating memories that last a lifetime.
One of the things I cherish most as an Idaho Family Photographer is the opportunity to photograph the same families year after year. Even if you skip a year, it’s incredible to see how much has changed in just twelve months. Children grow so quickly, and you’ll never get this exact stage back—whether it’s a busy toddler, a sports-driven pre-teen, or a high school senior. Every stage and milestone is worth capturing and celebrating.
During this session, we were surrounded by gorgeous yellow fall leaves, adding vibrant color and warmth to the photos. It’s always such a bonus when families are willing to meet me wherever I suggest, allowing us to select the best locations and plan for ideal weather conditions. As a Challis Idaho Photographer, I’m fortunate to explore so many beautiful spots and share them with families, making each session truly special.
Family photography doesn’t have to be stressful or posed—it can be an experience filled with laughter, play, and authentic connection. Whether you’re booking a milestone session, capturing a fleeting stage in your child’s life, or just want updated family photos, I promise it can be fun for everyone involved. And the memories? Those last forever.
