There is something really special about getting to photograph the same people through different seasons of life. One of my favorite parts of being an Idaho Photographer is watching relationships grow, families expand and milestones unfold right in front of my camera.

For Jarrod and Jordan, that next chapter is a baby girl.

And yes, a baby Aldous girl.

These two were married in 2022, and I had the privilege of photographing both their engagement session and wedding day. One of the things I have always loved about them is how naturally they fit together. I still remember Jarrod helping Jordan navigate the riverbank in heels during their engagement session and the way he looked at her on their wedding day. Some things never change.

During this maternity session, I caught myself smiling behind the camera more than once because Jarrod was absolutely smitten with his wife. He spent the evening watching Jordan pose, admiring her growing belly and looking at her with the same love and excitement that was so obvious years ago. It was one of those sessions where you could genuinely feel the anticipation of becoming parents.

Honestly, he may have been trying to take over my job a little bit.

At one point he was encouraging Jordan to embrace the wind and helping her feel comfortable in front of the camera. It was sweet, supportive and exactly the kind of energy every mom-to-be deserves during a maternity session. As an Idaho Maternity Photographer, I often see a different side of husbands during these sessions. There is something about seeing their wife carry their child that brings out an extra level of tenderness and excitement.

Jordan had a vision for this session from the beginning. She wanted moody maternity photos, and I think we absolutely knocked it out of the park.

The lighting, the movement from the wind, and Jordan's stunning outfit all came together perfectly. She chose a beautiful outfit that highlighted her growing belly while still feeling elegant and timeless. Every detail worked together to create images that feel emotional, powerful, and full of anticipation.

One of my favorite things about maternity photography is capturing this brief moment in time. Pregnancy can feel long while you're living it, but it passes incredibly fast. Before you know it, the tiny kicks become late-night feedings, newborn snuggles, first smiles and first steps.

These photographs become a reminder of where it all started.

Baby girl is already so loved. She has parents who are excited to meet her, grandparents who are counting down the days, and a whole community ready to welcome her into the world.

I cannot wait to meet your sweet little girl.
