Senior photos are so much fun. I love helping seniors feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera while also highlighting the things that make them unique. Every senior has their own personality, interests, and style, and I love finding ways to incorporate those details into their session.

Meet Charlotte.

Charlotte recently moved to Salmon with her family and wanted to take advantage of the beautiful scenery that makes this area so special. As a Salmon Idaho Senior Photographer, I am always excited when seniors want to explore some of the incredible locations we have right here in our backyard.

For her session, we ventured up the side of a mountain and found several beautiful spots along the way. One of my favorite things about photographing senior sessions is the variety we can create in a single location. From wide scenic views to close-up portraits, we captured a collection of images that felt natural, authentic, and completely unique to Charlotte.

Like many seniors, Charlotte was a little nervous when we first started. That is completely normal! One of my goals as an Idaho Senior Photographer is to make every senior feel relaxed and comfortable so their true personality can shine through. It didn't take long before she settled in and started having fun with the session.

One of my favorite parts of the evening was incorporating something she genuinely loves: drawing. I always encourage seniors to bring items that represent their hobbies and interests because those details help tell their story.

Charlotte brought her drawing pad along, and instead of simply posing with it, she sat down and began sketching the scenery around us. Watching her focus on what she saw and create something in the moment was such a perfect reflection of who she is. Those images quickly became some of my favorites from the entire session because they captured a real piece of her personality.

The combination of the mountain views, golden light, and Charlotte's artistic talent created such a meaningful and memorable session. These are the kinds of senior photos that go beyond simply documenting a milestone—they tell a story about this season of life and who a senior is right now.
