Lincoln, Actor Headshots in Salmon, Idaho
I finally got to meet up with Lincoln for headshots, and let me tell you, we have been trying to make this happen for SO LONG.
And I am a little upset we didn’t make it work sooner because I enjoyed this session so much.
Lincoln is an actor. Yes, an actor right here in Salmon, Idaho. He is wanting to start auditioning more and continue getting into more movie projects. More movies? Yes, more. Because he has already been in one and other projects.
WHAT TO WATCH: Zombie Tidal Wave.
You should probably go watch it.
He is no stranger to acting and it was really fun getting to talk with him about that world. Acting, auditions, movies, headshots, all of it. There is something really cool about photographing someone who is stepping into something they are passionate about and saying, “Okay, I’m ready to do more of this.”
That is what I loved about this session.
It wasn’t just about taking a nice photo. It was about creating headshots that felt like him. Approachable, confident, expressive and real. Actor headshots need to show range without feeling forced, and Lincoln made that easy. He has such a natural presence in front of the camera but also this easygoing, fun personality that made the whole session feel less like work and more like hanging out with a camera involved.
And we may have done more talking than picture taking.
We laughed a lot. We talked about acting, life, Salmon, and somehow bonded over our love of ethnic food and the very painful lack of it in town. Small town problems, right? Sometimes you just want good food that did not come from your own kitchen or require a road trip.
You know how in a small town you can know someone, but not really KNOW them? You recognize faces. You know names. You know who belongs to which family, who works where, or who you have seen around town a hundred times. But then you actually get to sit and talk, and suddenly there is this whole person and story you didn’t know before.
That was this session with Lincoln.
I left feeling like I got to photograph more than just headshots. I got to photograph someone in the middle of chasing something and that is one of my favorite things.
Lincoln, I am so excited to see where acting takes you next. Just don’t forget us small-town people when you are famous.
