I had such a wonderful time photographing Lindsay and her three amazing boys at one of her favorite bridges. This family has made it a yearly tradition to capture their family photos, and it’s always a joy to watch them grow and interact over the years.
Working as a Salmon, Idaho photographer, I get to meet so many families, and I’ve noticed that a lot of them are “boy” families! Waylon, Jexson, and McKoy are no exception: kind, energetic, and full of personality. Each session reminds me of how special these moments are and why family photos are so important.
One of the things I love about Lindsay is how she nurtures each of her sons’ interests, whether it’s rodeo, sports, hunting, or other passions. She’s always there to support them, sign them up, and make sure they have the opportunities to explore what they love. As an Idaho family photographer, I see firsthand the sacrifices parents make every day: driving to practices, waiting in pick-up lines, and managing the cost and time of all their activities.
The “payoff,” however, is priceless. Not only are parents spending quality time with their children, but kids are also learning, growing, and developing new interests. And Lindsay’s boys? They see and appreciate every sacrifice she makes. In return, they give back in their own small but meaningful way, by spending one hour together, truly connecting, smiling, and even resisting the urge to fight. That hour of uninterrupted family time is priceless, and it’s exactly why family photos matter.
Capturing these moments allows families to pause, reflect, and celebrate the love and effort they put into one another. It’s not about perfection, it’s about connection, presence, and making memories that will last a lifetime.
If you’re looking for an Idaho family photographer who understands the importance of these small but meaningful moments, let’s capture your family’s story together.
